Quick Instructions
How to Create a New Account:
- Click on Register link above.
- Enter your information (* Required Information).
- Select which “Personal Preferences” you want.
- Click “Submit”.
- Your password will be emailed to you.
- You may change this password at any time from the left-hand side of the “My Account” page.
How to Login:
- Go to www.perma-bound.com
- Click on “Login” in the upper right-hand corner of the homepage.
- Enter your username in the first box.
- Enter your password in the second box.
- Click “Login”.
- You will then be taken to your “My Account” page.
How to Change Your Password:

- Login to www.perma-bound.com using the username and password emailed to you after registering.
- From your “My Account” page, click on “User Information” located on the left-hand side.
- Click on “Change My Username/Password” located under the “User Information” heading.
- Enter your current username.
- Enter your current password in the current password box.
- Enter in your new password.
- Then re-enter your new password in the “Verify Password” field just below.
- Click the “Submit” button located at the bottom of the page.
- This will be your new password for you to use from now on when logging in to www.perma-bound.com.
How to Create a New List:
- Login to www.perma-bound.com.
- Click on the “New List” button located in the Lists/Orders/Quotes window on the “My Account” page.
- A red outlined box will appear at the top of the page.
- Enter in a list name.
- Click “OK”.
- Your new list will automatically be selected and ready to add titles to.
How to Search for Books:
Quick Search option
- This search is accessible from the upper right-hand corner of the website.
- Click the arrow on the drop-down box to choose your search type (i.e. Title, Author, ISBN, Catalog Number, etc).
- Enter your search criteria in the open box on the right.
- Click the “Go” button.
- This search is accessible from the upper right-hand corner of the website, or under the “Searches” heading on the left-hand side of the “My Account” page.
- Once you have clicked on either of those Advanced Search links you will be taken to the Advanced Search page.
- Enter your search criteria in the corresponding fields for the type of information you wish to search by. (i.e. Title, Interest Level, Reading Level, Copyright, Reviews, Genre, Product Type, Dewey, Language, etc.)
- Once your criteria is entered click the “Submit” button.
- Use the “Reset” button to clear all the fields on the Advanced Search page to perform a new search with new criteria.
- The Advanced Search page will only save your criteria if you are logged into your account.
How to Add Titles to a List:
- Perform a search for the material you are interested in.
- Select “Create a New List” or “Open an Existing List” located on the left-hand side of the search results page.
- Once you have a list selected you may add titles to it.
- Place a checkmark in the “Add” box for the title you wish to add by clicking inside the box.
- Verify the quantity and priority.
- Click the “Add” button for that item.
- Once the title is in your list a red “In List” notation will appear in place of the checkmark.
How to Print a List:
- Select the list you want to print by clicking the button next to it.
- Click the “Print-Email” button for complete printing options, or select the “Quick Print” button to print the basic information quickly and easily. Both buttons are located on the bottom of the Lists/Orders/Quotes window.
- This will then bring up and display a printable version of your list.
- From here you can utilize your internet browser’s print function to print the list.
How to Send a List to CPS:

- From your “My Account” page, place a checkmark in the box next to the list you wish to send to CPS.
- Click the “Send to CPS” button
- The “Send to CPS Information” page will appear.
- Select your processing preferences
- On file with Perma-Bound
- No processing required
- If you do not currently have processing set-up, click on the PDF link to obtain a printable version to fill out and fax in to us. Or contact us at +1 800 637-658
- Make sure your correct shipping address appears in the “Ship-to-Address” box.
- Fill out any other pertinent information for your order.
- Click “Continue”
- This will take you to a preview page to double check your list before sending to CPS.
- Once you are satisfied with your list, click “Send to CPS”

Clerk Instructions
Below are instructions specific for CPS Clerks and using the Perma-Bound website through Oracle.
How to Login:
- Login to your Oracle system
- Click on the Perma-Bound logo displayed on the approved vendors screen.
- You will then be automatically signed in to your school's account by your specific unit number.
NOTE: Your unit number should display in the "Welcome" line at the top of the page.
How to Create a New List:
- Login to your school's Perma-Bound account directly through Oracle
- Click on the "New List" button located in the Lists/Orders/Quotes window on the "My Account" page.
- A red outlined box will appear at the top of the page.
- Enter in a list name of your choosing.
- Click "OK".
- Your new list will automatically be selected and ready to add titles to.
How to Search for Books:
Quick Search option

- Search for the titles you are interested in
- Once you have found the title you want, click on the "Add" button next to it
- If you would like to order the AR Quiz for that title, place a checkmark in the box next to the Quiz before clicking on the "Add" button.
- Once the title is in your list a red "In List" notation will appear in place of the checkmark.
How to Print a List:
- Select the list you want to print by clicking the button next to it
- Click the "Print-Email" button located on the bottom of the Lists/Orders/Quotes window.
- Then proceed through the Print Options pages and make the required selections
- From the last page select the Print as PDF option
- Click Print
- It will then ask you if you would like to Open or Save the printout
- Select Open, and once it appears you can select to print it from the PDF viewer
How to Place the Order in Oracle (Send it to your shopping cart):
- From your "My Account" page, select the list you wish to order by clicking the button next to it.
- Click the "Order" button
- The Order Options page will appear
- Select your processing preferences
- No, library processing is not required
- Yes, use our library specs on file with Perma-Bound
- Yes, use our library specs on file with Perma-Bound + Theft Detection at $.50 a book
- Yes, use CPS Dept of Library specs
- Yes, use CPS Dept of Library specs + Theft Detection at $.50 a book
NOTE: If you do not currently have processing set-up, click on the PDF link to obtain a printable version to fill out and fax in to us. Or contact us at +1 800 637-6581
- Make sure your correct unit number appears in the "Unit Number" box.
- Make sure your correct shipping address appears in the "Ship-to-Address" box.
- Select your back order preference
- Click "Continue"
- This will take you to a preview page to double check your list before ordering.
- Once you are satisfied with your list, click "Order."
- This will then transfer the list from Perma-Bound onto your Oracle ordering system for you to proceed with the checkout from your Oracle Shopping Cart.
NOTE: The transfer from Perma-Bound to your Oracle Shopping Cart may take a while depending on website and server traffic. If you still do not see the order on Oracle after 10-15 minutes, please contact our customer service department at +1 800 637-6581.

CPS Department of Library Processing Specs
The following spec options are included in the CPS Standard Processing Preferences. You may choose to use these standard processing specs at no extra cost for any order you place with Perma-Bound.

- 2. Two Barcodes (attached) — 14 digits — CPS assigned number range for Perma-Bound (6,110,000 to 6,119,999)

*Theft Detection strips are available as an optional add-on, both to your current processing specs on file with Perma-Bound and to these CPS Department of Library Processing Specs, at a cost of $.50 per book. If you wish to add the Theft Detection strips, please select one of the processing preference options already noted to include them.
Accelerated Reader
Accelerated Reader is a reading software program developed by Renaissance Learning to improve reading practice for students and increase their overall interest in reading. Click on the link below for more information on Accelerated Reader.
Accelerated ReaderWe offer over 60,000 titles with quizzes available. Accelerated Reader produces only one quiz per title. Choose any combination of quizzes for each. Renaissance Learning requires a minimum of 20 quizzes per order.
